ONE OF OUR COMMITMENTS THIS YEAR IS TRAINING.
At this year’s AGM, the chairman outlined several initiatives, one of which was to improve sail training in the club. Inline with this commitment, the CBYA has approached Club Nautico Altea and requested that we employ the services of their instructors to give our members some training on sailing keel boats. CNA have a fleet of 6 Platú 25 sailing boats that they use for teaching, and the CBYA has secured a discounted price and a structured program that best accommodates our club members free time. As such we will be running a sail training course at Altea Marina, one day pre week for 5 consecutive weeks (every Friday from the 14th July until the 11th August). This course is suitable for beginners to learn to sail.
Following on from the beginners course will be an intermediate course where graduates of the beginners course can improve their skills and/or more experienced club members can get involved. This will run from the middle of the summer until the autumn,
