Barry McCrae and Chris de Boer, co owners of Matador II a MAT 1070 racer/cruiser, have entered the 34th edition of the Trofeo Penon de Ifach. This is a regatta of 2 legs starting at 10.00am on Thursday 25th May from Calpe bay and finishing across the channel at Formentera, a race distance of approximately 65Nm. There is a rest day on the Friday and then the return leg starts at 10.00am from Formentera heading back to Calpe. Prizes are awarded for the outward leg and overall for the 2 legs. Full details of the regatta, with a list of entrants can be found at this link  All boats are fitted with trackers so you can follow the progress of the race in real time, the link for the tracker is usually available from the morning of the race, or you can come down to Calpe bay and watch the start of the race live, with 42 boats entered always a grand spectacle. Crew onboard include Karen McCrae, Hans Sleutjes, Chris Engels and Andrew Guilbert.
