Preparations for the return journey were made in Corfu, including a couple of repairs. Crew member Victor Ubeda scaled the mast as the head of the mainsail leach had folded over and jammed in the furling mechanism. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible to fix from a height, so the mainsail was lowered and after substantial efforts involving the whole crew, we managed to prise the sail out and then re attach it.

Another repair was to the Bimini support rod that had to be soldered by a very helpful team at Corfu’s metal workshop.

Now the repairs are done we shall be heading home!!
