What a difference a day makes …

Day 3 of the Louis Vuitton cup was plagued with very light to no wind. All 4 boats spend time in displacement mode after touching down.

• •  American Magic (USA) just beat Luna Rossa Prada (Italy) by 2 seconds before the wind died
  • After a delayed start Alinghi Red Bull Racing (Swiss) just staggered to the finish line, hull down doing about 5kn, finishing with just 2 minutes of the allowed time limit left, beating Ineos Brittania (UK) DNF

All other racing was abandoned. The results to date are:

• • Luna Rossa Prada (Italy) stand 4 – 1 up over American Magic (USA)
  • Ineos Brittania (UK) stand 4 – 1 up over Alinghi Red Bull Racing (Swiss)
