Come and Join our 2022 All-CBYA Regatta
5th and 6th October 2022
Calling all boats, all boats, all boats – anything that floats…..
This is a re-run of our successful First ALL-CBYA Regatta last year. Hopefully this time we will get MUCH better support for the Chairman’s Charity Challenge Cardboard Boat Race, and that weather conditions will be favourable for sailing the TOMs up from Calpe. |
The outline plan is as follows: |
Wednesday 5th – From about mid-day, all CBYA-owned boats assemble at El Portet, including the dinghy section. We would like to invite all members who have yachts and motor vessels to make their way to Moraira that day. We have made special arrangements for you to moor for the night in Club Náutico Moraira Marina, to enable you to also participate in the following day’s activities.
|
The Chairman’s Charity Challenge Cardboard Boat Race: YOU CAN START BUILDING YOUR BOATS NOW! SOME MEMBERS HAVE ALREADY STARTED!! You turn up with your own cardboard boat and race it. Entry classes will include singles, pairs, and a special galleon group. Time to start organising your team! Participants assemble at 11am for scrutineering and completion. Races start at 1pm until 4.40/5pm when the Mayor of Teulada/Moraira, Mr Raul Llobell, will give out prizes for winning, losing, sinking, boat/team name, silly costumes and anything else we can think of, so everyone’s a winner!
