The Spanish Royal Decree (BOE-A-2021-8268) was amended on 19^th May 2021.

RYA qualifications have now been added. They have imposed Spanish rules on distance from the coast, however this should not be an issue for members looking to day sail from Dénia.

The rule is:

RYA Day Skipper – 12 miles from the coast (the same as a standard Spanish PER licence)

RYA Coastal skipper and Yachtmaster Coastal – 20 miles from the coast

RYA Yachtmaster Offshore – 150 miles from the coast

RYA Yachtmaster Ocean – no limitation. 

All for boats up to 24 metres.

Unfortunately, this announcement comes too late to allow the CBYA to restart our day charters from Nautica Corcho as we are now entering the peak summer season when minimum 7-day charters are accepted. We therefore plan to restart in September 2021.
