The CBYA restarted their monthly social dinners with a meal at A Bordo restaurant, Javea on Monday 18th September. It was particularly pleasing to see so many new members and an all-over excellent turnout of 45 guests. The staff at A Bordo presented the usual excellent menu with charm and efficiency.
The Chairman, John Mackney gave a welcome speech to all members and particularly to the new members. On a sad note he also made an announcement of the death of a long standing dearly loved member, Alan Bailey, who contributed so much to the dinghy sailing arm of the CBYA.
Well done to the social team for putting together an altogether very successful evening and we look forward to the next event, which is taking place on Monday October 16th. Don’t forget to save the date in your diary.
