The CBYA March social was held at Restaurante Maxim in Moraira on Tuesday 26th March. This is a new venue for the CBYA, and very much a try-out of somewhere different. Restaurante Maxim appeals due to the excellent cuisine on offer – a venue with fine dining at a reasonable price was something the Committee promised to find for 2024. The menu didn’t disappoint with lobster and filet steak included in the 10 choices of starter and 11 mains.
The evening started with a complementary glass of cava each, and then those that had booked were seated on two tables of 9for the meal. Wine was included in the price. The meal which started with a complementary amuse-bouche, then starter, sorbet, mains, desert and coffee, all for an all-in price of 33€ (including tip and Stripe booking fee). If you were unable to come this time, we strongly recommend you try to make it next time. We will definitely be booking this excellent restaurant again (maybe in the summer in their great, tree-covered, al fresco gardens).
