Beginner’s Sailing on the Platú 25

The CBYA began a new initiative this week: Sailing on Beneteau Platú 25 yachts with the Escuela de Vela, Club Náutico de Altea.

Five members from the CBYA became students for the day, learning how to sail these exciting 25 foot yachts. This was the first session of 5 days, and on completion each of the ‘students’ will receive a certificate from Club Náutico de Altea that says they have achieved the required standard to move on the the intermediate course (to be announced via a CBYA Newsletter very soon).

The feedback from all of the participating students was that it was immense fun and a very exciting experience. All are looking forward to the second training day next Friday.
