A great Dinghy Day with a few records!
Due to the bad weather forecast for this week, Admiral Bob decided to reschedule Dinghy Day from the normal Wednesday to a day earlier. This decision was welcomed by our dinghy sailors, who duly turned out on Tuesday 26th April to have fun out on the water!
Both safety boats were on duty, and our Boating Officer, John Mackney, had a chance to experience a typical CBYA Dinghy Day.
Great conditions for everyone. Dare I say it……two 82 year-old youngsters sailing, one with his daughter and grand-daughter!
New, or not so new, dinghy sailors getting rid of the ‘rust’, and all finished off with drinks on the bridge afterwards.
Even some AWOLs reported back for duty, and were appropriately dealt with and put to task!
Well done crew, a great day, and special thanks to Tessa for covering for Karen …who, by the way, was granted ‘leave’!
See you all next week….hopefully.
