Some of the CBYA Committee Members enjoyed a day out on the water on Tricky D on Wednesday 24th June – the lucky ones were Sue & Chris Bell, Neil Robertson and myself.

Our skipper (and yacht owner), Richard Jones, is currently being extremely careful that he complies with the current Spanish COV-19 social distancing and cleaning requirements, so the crew was limited in numbers to maximum FOUR. In addition, Richard spent time sanitising and cleaning the heads after use, and carefully cleaning Tricky D before and after our sail. We all felt very safe and well looked after!

Not much wind, so we motored from Marina de Dénia to Cala Barraca (Portichol Island), where we dropped anchor for lunch, and a swim for Sue & Chris.

We had planned to enjoy the predicted stronger late afternoon wind for a pleasant sail back, but after only about an hour of sailing, the breeze dropped, so we decided to use mechanical propulsion.

A great day out on the immaculate Tricky D in good company!

Thanks Richard!

Sounds wonderful! But still a ‘wee’ bit apprehensive after ALL —as we say in The States (all the crap has hit the fan here with lockdown)-BUT I want to sail/assist!

PS don’t know if my ‘absolution’ of ‘finger pointing’ reached anyone yet because no one responded to my ‘confirmation form I completed—please’- IF NOT- I’ll redo-
