The Après Sail is a monthly gathering for sailors to exchange war stories about their favourite type of sailing. About 15 members  gathered at Bar Tropicana in Moraira on Monday 13th; some dinghy sailors, some TOMs sailors, and several big boat sailors from the 5-Clubs Regattas.  It was also a chance to bring together some of the members who are going to Cowes on the Isle of Wight, for the Round the Island Race. Bar Tropicana has ample parking, a nice outdoor area and an indoor room that is used for karaoke, so we all got seated around a big table to drink and laugh together. The bar can easily accommodate a lot more people. The owners Martin and Tina (our Dutch hosts) are very welcoming, and we’re sure this event will go from strength to strength. The gathering had the feel of the CBYA being in their own club house! Let’s hope more  members come along next month.
