I am sad to report the death of Eric Degerland, who died suddenly on  28th August 2023. He had just returned from a four week visit to Palestine, where his daughter and grandchildren had returned to live.

Eric was a member of the CBYA for a few years, and gave us an interesting presentation about he and his friend sailing a yacht from Ireland to Iceland, and on to Greenland. He used to crew for John Allison on S/Y Jumbuck.
