CBYA Countryside Walk and Lunch
Keeping with tradition, the CBYA held a walk around the Parque Natural del Marjal de Pego-Oliva on Tuesday 23rd April. This helped raise money for the CBYA 2024 supported-charity, Make-a-Smile.
Twenty One people turned up for the event including 3 children.
The walk was led by Glenn Ward, who gave a very interesting introductory talk about the geology of this fascinating wetland. When we arrived at the Font Salada thermal springs ,the kids went swimming whilst the adults ate and drank, before wandering leisurely back to the start point.
As an added after walk bonus, some of the attendees went back to Tessa and Mark’s house for dutch apple cake (appelgebak) and coffee.
The event raised 200€ for Make-a-Smile. Many thanks for your support.
