Strong winds, during the Dinghy Day on Tuesday 18th May, kept all the dinghy sailors concentrating, and provided a couple of capsizes. They all eventually retired to the bridge exhausted.
We had Wally (the 420), and one Laser, out with a total of five sailing, mostly my girls, but Stuart was also there flying his flag.
The Laser capsized – the boom came off the mast, but the wind drifted the boat quietly towards the beach, with Karen relaxed on top! Click HERE to view the action!
Well done everyone – some demanding conditions but lots of enjoyment and good experience. Thanks also to Gary, who came for a drink on the bridge, but ended up to his armpits in the sea, helping the boats get out in some difficult conditions.
Next Dinghy Day is planned for Tuesday 25th May. Final confirmation at the weekend.
