Medicane Yannis and Storm Alex have caused delays to TrickyD’s return trip. Boat and crew stayed in the safe harbours of Licata (Sicily) for 5 days and Vila Simius (Sardinia) for 7 days waiting for good weather windows for the onward passage. This has provided an excellent opportunity to make new friends, and of course tell them all about the CBYA!!

David and Juliet Fosh welcomed us to Licata and invited us to several social gatherings. The 30 years living on board their Hallberg-Rassy, and travelling around the globe, enabled them to spin a few tales! David served as the Chair of the Ocean Cruising Club – to which one can only become a member if one has sailed across 1000 uninterrupted miles of water!

We also met Canadian friends Bill, Brian and Glen in Licata and were very pleased when their boat, S/Y Talisman, also sailed into Vila Simius, giving us the chance to do some sightseeing together.

TrickyD is now being prepared for the final leg(s) home and we cannot wait to catch up with you all soon.

Where are you now I wonder?
Hope you are crossing the Med and will soon be back in home mooring.
You will be weary after your extended cruise. Will be great to see you all.
