The CBYA has a special relationship with the Real Club Náutico de Calpe which gives us access to their six, fleet-racing TOMs, at a special discounted rate.
The CBYA runs twice-a-week Sail Training Days on the TOMs – usually on Thursdays and Saturdays. We have several members who are RCNC – CBYA approved skippers, who take out CBYA members who are interested in learning how to sail these exciting boats.

We run Spring and Autumn TOMs Ladder series each year at Calpe to introduce less-experienced sailors to racing. Typically we race with white sails only (no spinnakers). The ladder results are accumulated over the year to decide the overall winner.

Non-slip and non-marking sailing shoes, sailing gloves, sun-glasses, water, sun-block, hat, and a change of clothes would be advisable.
Anything of value that you do not need to take with you! Mobile phones, credit cards, driving licence, money, etc. should be left in the car. Car keys can be brought on board in a dry bag.
The CBYA requires all sailors to wear a life jacket, or a buoyancy aid, when sailing on the TOMs. Buoyancy jackets are available for loan at the Real Club Náutico Calpe.
The Real Club Náutico Calpe requires everyone sailing on the TOMs to purchase insurance via a Licensia Federativa. Click HERE for details.
