CBYA Vice-Chairman, Neil Robertson, gave a presentation entitled Above us the Waves to a full house of CBYA members and friends, on Monday 3 June at the Jávea Players Studio theatre, highlighting events during his 37-year Royal Navy career, much of it spent as a submarine commanding officer during the Cold War.

This was a fascinating talk covering his time spent on many different classes of submarine, the sinking of the Argentinian battleship “Belgrano” during the Falklands War, and his last posting as Defence Attaché and Naval Attaché to Japan.

His excellent talk was followed by a tapas meal at the nearby Bar Restaurante Area 1.

Many thanks Neil!
