CBYA Veterans’ Regatta
On Thursday, September 28, the annual CBYA Veteran’s TOMS Regatta took place in Calpe.
Five veteran teams competed against each other, with five crew members on each of the RCNC-owned TOM racing yachts. The average age for each team entered in the Veteran’s regatta had to be minimum average of 65 years of age.
Wind conditions were light, but favourable, for the CBYA sailors, and three races were run over a short, twice round, windward-leeward course.

On Monday, September 25, members of the CBYA enjoyed an extremely interesting presentation by Hugh Epsom regarding the history of the Volvo Ocean Race. Members of the Montgo Residents’ Association (APMJ) and the Costa Blanca Yacht Association (CBYA) got together at the Bodega Museo Maserof on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, to celebrate the Grape Harvest. This great anything-goes event takes place on only four nights every September, inviting guests to kick off their shoes and tread grapes in the traditional manner.

A lovely seaside picnic was enjoyed by around 80 members of the CBYA with a large paella dinner with drinks and snacks.
